Video Production Specialist Temporary Part-Time Professional Tampa, FL, US 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1624 Position Summary Under direction of the Director of Communications, the Video Production Specialist will be responsible for crafting digital assets to build awareness and affinity for The Florida Aquarium (TFA) by creatively planning and facilitating on-site and field-based production, including conceptualizing, storyboarding, logistics, filming, editing, sound mixing, graphic design, compression output and distribution of a wide range of products as well as performing other departmental duties as assigned. Film and photograph habitats, exhibits and events for social media platforms. This position will be the source of broadcast quality video content, both for internal and external purposes. Essential Position Functions Coordinate and execute all digital and video communication initiatives from concept to completion. Create evocative and impactful video content for use in advertising, promotions, traditional and social media, etc. that is consistent with brand strategy and organizational priorities. Guide Marketing & Communications team in brainstorming and idea generation, scriptwriting and development for all video collateral. Serve as creative liaison to other departments; working together to develop video and digital assets to further the departmental goals and shared purpose of the Aquarium. Focus on driving high levels of engagement with compelling storytelling through imagery and video content. Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of a photo shoot including lighting, audio and talent. Participate in the design and production of company marketing collateral and assist with production coordination, background design and other media related projects. Edit and assemble final visual/audio program material for release. Monitor the technical quality of the finished product to ensure compliance, consistency, and desired outcome for the Aquarium. Provide video content to our marketing and communications vendors for social media, communications and advertising productions. Responsible for the oversight of security, operation and maintenance of all equipment utilized in production and editing of material. Demonstrate exceptional time and project management skills. Must be able to work in tight time frames, and work within a budget. Continually advance technical skills to adapt to new technology. Maintain an understanding of consumer behavior and media consumption to evolve content. Familiarity with copyright and privacy laws. Interact with vendors, donors, members, applicants, guests and board members as required. Must be able to acquire in-depth knowledge of Aquarium’s animals, habitats and exhibits. Deliver extraordinary customer service to all aquarium guests and internal customers. Embrace and live by TFA’s shared purpose and values. Assists with administrative activities, as needed. Perform other related duties assigned by the Director of Communications. Education Requirements and Technical Skills Any combination of education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. A typical qualifying background would include a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication or video production, or significant coursework towards such a degree and/or at least one year of professional experience in video filming and editing. Proficiency in Adobe editing and design software required. Aquarium/zoo, theme park, attraction or tourism experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Power Point, Access, Scheduler, Mail) is a plus. Ability to use GoPro cameras, Sony a7s camera, and other relevant video equipment. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
