Reports to: Plant Manager and floor supervisors
Position summary: The Pallet Repair position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our operations. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the overall workflow, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe and organized work environment, which is crucial for the well-being of all team members. By performing physical tasks and assisting skilled workers, the Pallet Repair plays a vital role in the success of our projects. Ultimately, this position is key to delivering quality results that meet our clients' expectations.
Duties include: - Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol.
- Reports all safety concerns or issues to immediate supervisor.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards
- Inspects and repairs pallets for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris, and contamination. Correct defects that do not meet specification criteria.
- Lift and carry materials as needed
- Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
- Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade utilizing APC methods
- Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.
- Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: - Ability to read and interpret imperial system.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with little direction.
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly on a daily basis.
- Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment with extreme heat, cold and moisture.
- Successful completion of pneumatic nailer training.
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent
- Related experience is preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills

Requirements: - Ability to pass a drug test
- You must be 18 years of age
- Physically able to lift 50lbs as needed
- Physically ability to stand, bend/stoop, kneel, lift, reach and other physical tasks during an 8-10-hour shift.
- Must maintain safe and tidy workspace
- Ability to understand and complete job tasks accurately
Pay information:
Up to $20/hr after training period. (Paid Weekly)
