The
Beverly YMCA is seeking a
knowledgeable and experienced Personal Trainer to deliver high-quality, results-driven training in our state-of-the-art fitness facility. In this role, you will partner with members to create personalized fitness plans, coach proper technique, and provide the motivation and accountability needed to support long-term success.
What You'll Do: - Engage and support members on the fitness floor through exercise demonstrations, equipment guidance, and individualized recommendations.
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group training sessions tailored to members' goals, abilities, and experience levels.
- Conduct complimentary fitness consultations and assessments to help members get started and stay motivated.
- Monitor workouts, offering modifications and support to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness environment and ensure equipment is used properly.
- Serve as a positive ambassador for the Y by greeting members, answering questions, and fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
What You Bring: - Certified Personal Trainer (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent) with prior hands-on experience in personal and/or group training.
- Strong understanding of exercise science, strength training, and safe progression techniques.
- Proven ability to assess client needs and create customized, results-oriented fitness programs.
- A passion for coaching, accountability, and helping individuals of all backgrounds succeed.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in physical education or related field preferred
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and NSPA

- Ability to listen, hear, and discern members & program participants' wants, needs, and interests
- Ability to respond to safety and emergencies
- Ability to demonstrate equipment used for exercise training
