Job Description The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking to hire fully remote Adjunct Faculty members who are subject matter experts in Business. UMPI is a public institution for competency‑based education (CBE) accredited by NECHE. The YourPace degree programs are self‑paced, student‑driven, subscription‑based competency‑education models that primarily serve adult learners. YourPace invites applicants to be Instructors of Record and/or develop courses from a wide range of disciplines and professional skills for undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Teaching assignments may begin at any of our eight‑week sessions with six start dates per year. YourPace seeks subject matter experts in the following areas: Accounting Artificial Intelligence Management Branding Business Intelligence Governance and Compliance Business Mathematics Change Management Ethics Finance Human Resources Investment Management Marketing Micro/macro‑Economics Leadership Professional Communication Project Management Strategic Thinking Supply Chain Management Sustainability Accounting and Finance Artificial Intelligence Management Branding and Marketing (including Social Media) Business Administration and Applications Business Intelligence and Analytics (including Governance and Compliance) Change Management and Leadership Corporate Social Responsibility Ethics and Sustainability Global Business Management Human Resources and Organizational Development Investment and Strategic Thinking Professional and Managerial Communication Project and Supply Chain Management All YourPace courses are fully online and asynchronous, and interpersonal interactions with students are expected. YourPace Adjunct Faculty are compensated based on agreements as per the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreements/MOU. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Adjunct Faculty for undergraduate degree programs must have at minimum a master’s degree from an accredited institution, and/or significant work experience in a related field. Adjunct Faculty for graduate degree programs must have a Doctorate, terminal advanced degree in the field of study, and/or significant work experience in a related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching at the college‑level Online teaching experience Teaching a competency‑based education model Technology Requirements YourPace Adjunct Faculty are required to have the appropriate technology to teach in a fully online environment. This includes, but is not limited to: Computer (laptop) with appropriate processing speed Applicants must create an application profile and application. Applications will remain on file until May 30, 2026. If no communication regarding application status has been received by that date, the application will be considered inactive. Candidates selected to proceed to the final stages of the search process will be requested to provide a list of references.
