Job Description

St. Mark’s School in Southborough, MA, seeks an assistant varsity football coach. This part-time position starts in late August and ends in mid-November. St. Mark’s enjoys a rich history in the sport of football and is a member of the Independent School League. The ideal candidate should possess an extensive understanding of football's tactical aspects, coaching experience, and a passion for helping teams and student‑athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field. Qualifications Candidates should have playing experience and coaching experience at the high school and/or college level. Oversee a position group on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Experience and knowledge to potentially serve as an offensive or defensive coordinator, at the head coach’s discretion. Ability to positively motivate, inspire, and serve as a role model to student‑athletes Attract and recruit student‑athletes and families to St. Mark’s who will contribute to the school’s overall educational program. Responsibilities Manage a Monday‑to‑Saturday practice/game schedule, including travel to away opponents. Assist with organizing and conducting practices that foster development and preparation. Build a strong team culture that values leadership and service.
