Role Overview As a Retirement Education Specialist, you will empower retirement plan participants to make confident financial decisions by delivering engaging education, providing personalized guidance, and partnering with employers and advisors to drive meaningful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Deliver group workshops and one‑on‑one consultations (virtual and in person) Partner with plan sponsors, advisors, and internal teams to design and deliver effective retirement education strategies Develop and implement education plans that increase engagement and participation in retirement programs Conduct needs assessments to guide participants in making informed decisions about saving, investing, and retirement income Adapt messaging based on audience needs Leverage tools and insights to improve participant outcomes Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in personal markets, retirement planning and participant education Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time (local, regional, or national; day or overnight; by car or air; personal transportation may be required) Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills Success history in education, retirement sales or a related field Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong presentation skills for large groups and individuals, able to read the room and pivot when necessary Licensing Requirements Licensing required based on state/federal laws or company policy; must be obtained within 5 months of employment Preferred licenses: FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/66 (consideration for existing Series 6 and 63 candidates) Compensation Base salary ranges from $68,200 to $126,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Non‑sales positions may participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives and additional bonus plans. Examples of market‑specific ranges: San Diego, CA: $68,200 – $92,400 per year Los Angeles, CA: $74,400 – $100,800 per year Benefits Employees in this role are eligible for a flexible time‑off (FTO) program and pension benefits. They can choose to work from home or in the office, as required. Location and Travel Primary territory is the Southern California region (Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego). The role requires travel and allows remote work (home or office) when not meeting with clients.
