Pay: $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience, plus bonus structure

About the Role

Ōnin Staffing is hiring an internal Recruiter for our Albuquerque office.

This is not a slow, quiet desk job. Our office is fast-paced, people-focused, and high-volume. We work with candidates from many different backgrounds, including individuals who may have barriers to employment and are looking for a second chance. We partner with the community and local employers to help people get to work while still maintaining strong expectations for attendance, accountability, professionalism, and client fit.

The right person for this role must be able to move quickly, stay organized, communicate professionally, and treat people with dignity, even when conversations are difficult. This role requires someone who is positive, resourceful, coachable, and able to work independently after training.

We are looking for someone who is smart, humble, and hungry. Someone who has strong energy, good judgment, and a heart for helping people, but also understands that accountability is nonnegotiable.

What You’ll Do

• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard candidates for client openings
• Conduct high-volume candidate calls, texts, follow-ups, and interviews
• Review applications, resumes, background information, and job fit
• Explain job expectations, pay, schedules, attendance policies, and onboarding requirements
• Communicate with candidates in a professional, respectful, and direct manner
• Partner with clients to understand staffing needs and identify strong candidate matches
• Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems
• Follow up with candidates and teammates throughout the hiring process
• Support walk-ins, scheduled interviews, job fairs, and community hiring events
• Help candidates overcome employment barriers while still holding clear expectations
• Work with urgency while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compliance
• Problem-solve throughout the day without needing constant direction

• Strong customer service, recruiting, staffing, sales, HR, corrections, case management, workforce development, or other people-facing experience
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Ability to document clearly and accurately
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Strong judgment and professionalism
• Ability to work in person in our Albuquerque office
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Experience

• Staffing or recruiting experience
• Experience working in a high-volume office
• Experience with job boards, applicant tracking systems, or onboarding systems
• Experience working with individuals who face barriers to employment
