Analyst I – National Housing Group (Public Finance) Location: Chicago, IL Compensation: $105K/year Base Pay Range $105,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr About the Role Our National Housing Group within Public Finance is seeking a highly motivated Analyst I with strong quantitative and technical skills. This team operates at a high volume and fast pace, supporting financings for housing agencies and essential public‑sector clients nationwide. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor, curiosity about public policy and financial markets, and the ability to manage complex tasks with precision. Key Responsibilities Perform financial, quantitative, and statistical analysis to support housing transactions and client deliverables. Build and maintain financial models in Excel to evaluate financing structures, credit profiles, and market scenarios. Prepare presentation materials, offering documents, and internal analyses for senior bankers. Support deal execution across all stages—from initial structuring to closing—ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Conduct market research, policy review, and data analysis to support strategic insights for clients and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with bankers, underwriters, sales, trading, and operations in a coordinated, high‑volume workflow. Maintain organized, clean, and audit‑ready work product with rigorous attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, public policy, mathematics, or a related field. Strong quantitative, analytical, and technical skill set; comfort with financial modeling. High proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment. Self‑starter with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Personable and able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Interest in public policy, municipal markets, or affordable housing finance.
