Location: Rochester, NY (onsite with state wide field travel)
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (some overtime required)
Salary: $80k to $120k per year
Title: Project Manager- Structured Cable & Fiber
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in structured cabling and fiber optic systems to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and manage structured cabling and Fiber optic installation projects from initiation through completion
· Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans(
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
· Oversee site assessments, design reviews, and project scope development
· Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., BICSI, ANSI/TIA, OSHA)
· Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field technicians
· Conduct project meetings, provide status updates, and maintain documentation
· Monitor project progress and proactively address risks or delays
· Ensure quality control, testing, and certification of cabling and Fiber systems
· Review and approve project deliverables, including as-builts and closeout documentation
· Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure client satisfaction
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 3+ years of project management experience in structured cabling and/or Fiber optics
· Strong knowledge of copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and Fiber optic systems (single mode & multi-mode)
· Familiarity with industry standards such as BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

· OSHA 10/30 certification, required
