Responsibilities

• Build new pallets using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment, ensuring precise measurements and sturdy construction.
• Repair damaged or worn pallets by replacing broken components, reassembling parts, and reinforcing structures with appropriate materials.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assemble or repair pallets according to specifications.
• Conduct inspections of completed pallets for quality control, safety standards, and load-bearing capacity before shipment or reuse.
• Utilize construction estimating skills to determine material needs and optimize production efficiency.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for handling large components safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols related to the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.

Experience

• Prior experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or construction environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and metal stud framing is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication techniques is essential.
• Knowledge of industry-specific skills such as rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, roofing, siding installation, tile laying, electrical work or plumbing is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail throughout the repair process.
