REACH Medical Holdings, operating as REACH Air Medical Services, is seeking a skilled Helicopter Pilot for our Med-Trans EG program to support emergency air medical transport operations within the Healthcare & Medical Services industry and the Transportation & Logistics department. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating helicopters during time-sensitive critical care missions, transporting patients, medical teams, and equipment between scenes, rural locations, and medical facilities. Working closely with flight nurses, paramedics, and communication specialists, you will ensure rapid, reliable, and efficient air responses for emergency and interfacility transports. As a Helicopter Pilot Med-Trans EG, you will plan, brief, and execute flights in accordance with FAA regulations, company operating procedures, and hospital partner protocols. You will evaluate weather, terrain, and airspace restrictions, perform thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, and maintain situational awareness in dynamic environments, including night operations and adverse conditions when permitted. You will exercise sound aeronautical decision-making, balance mission urgency with safety, and maintain continuous communication with dispatch, air traffic control, and the medical crew. You will play a key role in REACH Air’s safety-first culture by strictly adhering to safety management systems, participating in safety briefings and debriefings, reporting hazards, and supporting a just culture environment. You will work as part of a high-performance team, demonstrating professionalism, calm under pressure, and strong crew resource management while operating in confined areas, unimproved landing zones, and hospital helipads. The position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to respond quickly to launch requests. This role is best suited for an experienced helicopter pilot with a strong background in rotor-wing operations, preferably in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), law enforcement, military, or similar mission profiles. You will bring advanced skills in instrument and night flying, precise aircraft control, and risk assessment, along with excellent communication and collaboration with clinical staff. REACH Air provides a supportive environment with ongoing training, recurrent check rides, and opportunities to expand your skill set while contributing to life-saving missions. The Helicopter Pilot Med-Trans EG will also be responsible for maintaining accurate flight, duty, and maintenance logs, supporting basic aircraft care within pilot scope, and collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure aircraft airworthiness. You will represent REACH Air Medical Services professionally to partner hospitals, first responders, and the communities we serve, supporting outreach and education activities when needed. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes while building a long-term career with an organization that prioritizes safety, teamwork, and operational excellence in emergency air medical transport.
