Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for all employees. Investigate all EHS incidents, determine root causes, and recommend preventative measures. Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs (e.g., LOTO, confined space, hazard communication). Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and documentation. Support emergency response planning and participate in drills. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local EHS regulations applicable to manufacturing operations. Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations. Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage employees and foster a positive safety culture. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour General Industry, HAZWOPER, ASP/CSP, CHMM) are highly desirable. Bonus Qualifications Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification. Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 implementation and auditing. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar process improvement experience. HAZWOPER certification or specialized training in industrial hygiene.
