Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies. Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for employees on safety procedures, hazard communication, and emergency response. Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures. Manage hazardous waste programs, including waste characterization, storage, disposal, and recordkeeping. Implement and maintain safety protocols, procedures, and lockout/tagout programs for manufacturing operations. Maintain accurate EHS records, permits, and documentation required by regulatory agencies and internal policies. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related scientific field. 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific environmental and safety regulations. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and develop/deliver EHS training programs. Experience with EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and internal auditing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively. Bonus Qualifications Experience with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera). Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies to EHS processes. Professional EHS certification (e.g., ASP, GSP, OHST, CHMM). Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems, including internal auditing.
