Drafter Responsibilities & Duties Prepare detailed drawings of architectural and engineering designs from sketches and specifications. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to incorporate design requirements into drawings. Review and revise drawings to meet project specifications and standards. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings. Ensure that drawings are accurate, detailed, and contain all necessary information for construction or manufacturing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and materials. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the construction or manufacturing process. Manage documentation and filing systems for drawings and project records. Conduct site visits to gather data and verify design specifications are being met. Drafter Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks. Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles. Knowledge of relevant building codes and industry standards. Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
